Lovely! Sexy! Spicy!

Sure some people may have a negative view towards Playboy and probably wont take a second glance at the new Playboy perfumes... but those people will be missing out. I personally choose to ignore that negative side of Playboy and focus on the positive..... the positive being the cute bunny logo and now these ADORABLE fragrances, which to my surprise and I'm sure others as well, smell AMAZING! I was a fan of the Playboy colognes and body sprays, giving them to guys I know and now I'm an even bigger fan of these three new perfumes because I get to wear them!

There isn't too much difference between the three scents, Play It Lovely, Play It Sexy and Play It Spicy, which makes them all equally great. I do however wish they lasted longer (I like to be able to smell my perfume all day long) but for the $25 price point they are worth it. They are also small enough to tote along in a gym bag or your purse to reapply. If you aren't a fan of sweet, flowery scents you will be a fan of these. They are sweet and spicy with an exotic twist. They are available now at drugstores and mass retailers across Canada.

Fragrance Of Champions

I recently gave this new Davidoff Champion cologne to my man. He's a sporty guy who also loves working out. I loved seeing how excited he got over this cologne bottle. I also really loved smelling it on him. Champion features notes of bergamot, lemon, clary sage, galbanum, oak moss and cedar. A great gift idea for an athletic guy.

"You Can Stand Under My $175 Umbrella"

How much is too much to spend on an umbrella?
To be honest I haven't really given this question much thought... I don't think umbrellas are too high up on anyones shopping list. I have a cute pink and white polka dot umbrella that I've been satisfied with...untill now.... I just discovered Raindrops in Toronto's website which featured Umbrellas by Guy de Jean. Now spending $175 on an umbrella doesn't seem so crazy. I'm in love. Check them out below and for more details check out the website - www.raindropsto.com

This pink one is #1 on my list!

How cute would these be to use if it rained on your wedding day??

Love these cage umbrellas they use on Gossip Girl :)

Okay, so maybe I can't justify spending this much on an umbrella just yet.... but one day

Birthday Beauty

Celebrated my 1/4 Century Champange Birthday this weekend! It was a fabulous night and a great party! Of course half the fun, as is normally the case when going out, was getting ready! The theme of the party was Barbie pink.
See below for the products I used to create my look:
I started with Revlon Age Defying Moisturizing Concealer. It provides amazing coverage.

Revlon Colorstay makeup is one of my favourite foundations. It lasts all night long. Perfect for a night out partying.

I also use Revlon PhotoReady Powder which is great when you know you are going to be in pictures.

Of course, NARS blush in "Super Orgasm" was a must for creating Barbie pink cheeks. For my Barbie pink lips I used Stila Long Wear Liquid Lip Color in "Petal". It doesn't get more perfect pink then this shade. It is also long wear so I didn't have to keep reapplying.

For highlighting my cheekbones and inner corner of the eyes I am loving Sally Hansen Natural Beauty Inspired by Carmindy Highlighters. They produce the perfect amount of illumination which looks so natural.

Revlon ColorStay Liquid Liner is another key product. It provides long wear black liner that doesn't smudge or fade.

Fake Lashes are a must for me for dressy nights out. They just make your eyes pop and make you feel more "dressed up" from your everyday look.
I am obsessing over Estee Lauder Sumptuous Bold Volume Lifting Mascara. Truthfully you don't even need the fake lashes when you use this mascara.

To add some glisten and shimmer to the whole look I used M.A.C. glitter.

What's your must have product for a big night out?

HAIR TRAUMA

Ever had a hair experience that was so bad you contemplated shaving your head so that no hair dresser will ever be able to touch your hair ever again??

So I haven't been able to get a hold of my regular hair dresser, he's been away and is only booking for March. My roots are out of control and my 25th birthday is tomorrow! I decide that I will have to go to someone else to get my hair done. My friend suggests her girl who comes to your house to do your hair. So, I call and book an appointment to get highlights and low lights. My regular.

She arrives and suggests I also get colour put on my roots saying she will colour my roots and also do my highlights and low lights. Seeing as SHE'S the hair dresser I agree to let her do her thang. She claims I wont even need a toner because the kind of dye she used "tones while it colours"

Well, I wash my hair out and look in the mirror. My hair is NEON ORANGE!!!!!!!!!!!

She claims she can fix it by toning it. She tones it. I wash it out. NO CHANGE. She then says she will add another toner and some bleach to it. I wash it out. NO CHANGE. She then says she will do a blue toner. I wash it out. NO CHANGE. At this point my hair is still NEON ORANGE and is now also BLUE from the blue toner she used. My scalp is literally ON FIRE and I'm feeling my hair to make sure it's not falling out. I seriously thought I might go bald. I'm in the bathroom crying my eyes out and calling my boyfriend. I can't even get words out so he thinks someone has died.

Eventually I come out of the bathroom. She claims she can do one more toner, a purple one, and it should help this time. She also says she'd like to do it sooner then later so she can go home. Ummm really? You're concerned about getting home and I'm sitting here with ORANGE AND BLUE hair?!?!?

With tears in my eyes I let her have one more go. She tones it. I wash it and she blows it dry..... Well, my hair is still orange. Not neon anymore but definitely still orange. I also have some blue tones from all the toners and my scalp is still on fire.

She proceeded to not admit she had done anything wrong and even asked that I still pay her. Maybe if she had felt bad and was sorry I would have given her some money, but now I have to pay to get this fixed so there was no way I was going to be giving her any money. If anything, she should have paid me!!!! She said she used the same dye she used for my friend. My friend has light brown hair, my natural colour is almost black. It doesn't take a hair dresser or a rocket scientist to figure out that my hair should not have the same colours as someone with light brown hair on it.

I went to see a real hair dresser on my lunch break today. She says I should leave it for a week. Give my scalp a rest and then get a colour lift to bring the orange to a platinum blonde. Then hopefully eventually I can get some low lights put in.

In the meantime, tomorrow is my 25th birthday and I'll be looking like a albino/smurf/troll doll for my party.
Tell me your traumatic hair stories if ya got em. We can all feel the pain together.

No Strings Attached

Because I'll pretty much take any excuse to feast on movie theatre popcorn.... the girls and I ventured out for a Friday night on the town, dinner and a movie. Movie of choice being the new Ashton Kutcher/Natalie Portman movie No Strings Attached.

Turns out it's a total must see. Not only for girls but it'll be entertaining for guys as well.

I laughed, I cried, I wanted to see it again and again.

Natalie Portman is killing it these days. Loved her in this role, so natural and Ashton Kutcher is always a screen pleaser as far as rom-coms go. But occasionally a romantic comedy goes the extra mile and is one step funnier, wittier and more "real" then others which makes this one so great.

I mean, a guy making a girl a "period mix"??... Amazing haha. Couldn't stop laughing when he shows up with cupcakes and the gay best friend can't stop talking about how he loves when they are all on the same cycle.

Giving a girl a congrats balloon for sleeping with you? Love it!

I love the giggly, lighthearted connection between these two. Makes this such a feel-good movie.

As far as the no strings attached subject goes, I think we can all relate. When you aren't looking for something and don't want anything to do with a serious relationship is normally the time when you meet someone who you just can't let go. Can't wait to buy this one!

Hydrate Hydrate Hydrate!!!

As winter trecks on and wont seem to quit I continue to try to find ways to hydrate my dull winter-ey skin. The newest addition to my moisturizing family is Laura Mercier Hydrating Foundation Primer.

Someone knows me quite well and got me a gift certificate to Sephora for my Bday ..... after testing every primer in the store, this is what I ended up purchasing.

Love love love this product. It isn't greasy or heavy under my foundation. It hydrates, moisturizes and leaves my skin feeling fresh.

It acts as both a serum and a primer in my opinion, which I really enjoy.
